New LED tubes flicker or won't dim
Almost always a driver-and-dimmer mismatch, not a bad lamp. Swapping brands at the store repeats the problem at your expense.
Fixtures failing in groups, not singly
A row going dark together is usually one ballast, one driver, or one circuit — worth ten minutes of diagnosis before ordering thirty lamps.
High-bays out at 28 feet
Warehouse and gym fixtures stay dark because nobody has the lift. We bring it, and do the whole row while it's up there.
Emergency lighting failed its annual test
The 90-minute discharge test is the one the fire marshal asks to see documented. Failed heads and dead batteries are a same-visit fix.
The space is three generations of lamp deep
Piecemeal replacement leaves a ceiling running warm and cool white side by side. A retrofit standardizes color temperature and drops the load at the same time.
A rebate deadline is in front of you
Utility lighting incentives are approved before the work, not after. Missing the pre-approval is how a funded project becomes an unfunded one.
Four steps, in this order.
Count fixtures and run hours
Existing fixture types, lamp counts, and how many hours they actually burn. That is what decides both the payback and the rebate size.
Spec and pre-approve
Fixture and control package selected, then submitted to JEA or FPL for rebate pre-approval before a single lamp is ordered.
Install on your hours
Retrofit or replace, area by area, on nights or weekends where daytime work would shut down the space.
Commission controls, submit the rebate
Occupancy and daylight sensors set to real thresholds rather than factory defaults, then the rebate paperwork goes in with the closeout package.
