Who inspects it, who powers it, how fast we get there.
The Beach is its own authority having jurisdiction — a City of Jacksonville permit number carries no weight here, and the inspector is a city employee, not a Duval one. Exterior gear, pole bases, and rooftop equipment are reviewed against coastal wind-load requirements.
Jacksonville Beach runs its own municipal electric utility rather than buying from JEA. That changes who authorizes a temporary disconnect, how the meter release is handled, and how quickly a transformer can be set. We work the Beaches Energy queue directly.
Beach Boulevard or JTB, depending on the hour. Friday afternoons and event weekends at the Town Center add fifteen minutes, which is why beach accounts on a contract get the first call of the morning for anything schedulable.

Restaurants and bars carry this market, and restaurant electrical is a different animal: hood circuits, walk-in condensers, POS isolation, and a kitchen that cannot go dark on a Saturday. Most of our Beach install work is sequenced overnight or between service periods, with the panel back on before the first prep shift.
Salt is the other factor. Two blocks from the ocean, exterior disconnects, meter cans, and parking-lot pole bases corrode on a schedule that has nothing to do with their age. Our maintenance visits at the Beaches include an exterior enclosure walk and a torque audit on anything the salt air reaches — it is the finding that shows up most often in the report.
